Recent developments in technology and the use of innovative aluminum alloys allow us to provide a lighter conical king pin lock while maintaining the mass of the unit. This translates into a great, easy to use conical king pin lock that outperforms everything in its price range in terms of security and deterrence.
The new unit offers many characteristics requested by king pin lock users. The conical lock needs neither tools nor the lock key for installation, is easy to carry, store and clean, and installs and removes in a snap thanks to its slick push-lock design. The level of security is higher than any king pin lock in its price range yet the unit is not intended for the same risk environment as its bigger brother, the PF-08 high security conical king pin lock, from which it derives many features. As the unit is precise and very high security and because of its push-lock design it also requires more maintenance than the PF-08.
Another unique feature is the fact that Universal Boot offers its own proprietary lock but the unit is also fully compatible with cylinders from Abloy, Mul-T-Lock and Medeco. This allows any lock manufacturer or customer to purchase the conical shell only and adapt their own key system to the PF-09 conical king pin lock.
